The Inn At Montchanin Village

Named after Alexandria de Montchanin, the founder of DuPont’s grandmother, Montchanin once a section of the Winterthur Estate, the Inn at Montchanin is the perfect place to stay and truly experience the beauty of the small village. The inn consists of 11 carefully taken care of and restored buildings from 1799, 28 lavishly furnished rooms waiting for guests to experience life back then. These suites are appointed with marble baths and new furniture that is the spitting image of furniture back then, as well as all the amenities vital to any traveler. Most rooms have their separate courtyard, and some have their fireplaces as well.
Montchanin village serves as one of the last of its kind and was at one point home for the laborers that worked at the closeby DuPont powder mills.
